Description: The Hawkeye XR, also know as the Target Sight Sensor (TSS) and AN/AAQ-30, is a third generation, state-of-the-art FLIR targeting system developed for the USMC AH-1Z attack helicopter. It is also available for other rotary wing aircraft.

The Hawkeye XR consists of an advanced FLIR, a CCD-TV sensor with a resolution of 640x512, and a laser designator rangefinder. It provides the capability to identify and laser designate targets at maximum weapon range.

The Hawkeye XR modular architecture ensures future growth. Its advanced capabilities also include multi-target engagement capability.

Gunship Multispectral Sensor System (GMS2) is a Hawkeye variant intended for fixed-wing aircraft such as AC-130U gunship replacing legacy All Light Level TV (ALLTV) sensor. GMS2 integrates third generation infrared sensing technology with a suite of lasers and low light TV cameras. The developed phase launched in early 2005 was valued at $10.7 million, production of several systems is expected to increase the cost of the GMS2 program up to $35 million.
