Description: The UTAAS is a modular sight and fire control system for ground combat vehicles. It provides a high hit probability against ground and airborne targets even firing on the move. A laser range finder and a thermal imaging system can be added to UTAAS enhancing its performance.

The UTAAS sight and fire control system has been sold to the armed forces of Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Finland. They are intended for installation on the CV90 familiy of combat armored vehicles providing sight and fire control capabilities on behalf of the vehicle's weapon system.

Land Systems Hagglunds AB placed an order for UTAAS sight systems valued at MSEK 620 (approx. $620 million) on 25 January 2005. The CV9035 combat vehicles ordered by the Dutch Army will receive these systems which allow hunter-killer capability on modern battle tanks.

On 23 December 2005 Saab was awarded a SEK 140 million contract for UTAAS fire control systems for integration into 45 CV9035 Mk III Armored Infantry Fighting Vehicles (AIFV) ordered by Denmark.
