Description: The Type 095 has been proposed as the third generation of Chinese nuclear-powered attack submarines. The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) may be pursuing this new ship to match the capabilities and performance of current Russian and Western nuclear-powered attack submarines. Little is known about Type 095 and maybe it would never exist. Its development would be caused by Type 093's poor performance.
