Description: The AFDS (Autonomous Free-flight Dispenser System) is an autonomous standoff guided weapon armed with submunitions. It is a non-powered, fire and forget, gliding weapon capable of reaching targets at 10 km released from low altitude and 20 km released from medium/high altitude. This weapon was developed for Sweden's JAS-39 Gripen aircraft under the DWS-39 designation. It is being certified for use on other aircraft.
