Description: The AGM-84E SLAM (Standoff Land Attack Missile) uses the Harpoon warhead and a GPS/INS-based guidance system to strike inland targets. It is a derivate of the proven Harpoon anti-ship missile designed to destroy high value land targets, ships at port and ships at sea.

The subsonic SLAM also features an IR seeker for the terminal phase of the flight and data link. Its long range allows aircraft to release this weapon from safe standoff ranges. It was employed successfully in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 providing day, night, and adverse weather strike capability.
