Description: The ALAS (Advanced Light Attack System) is an optic-fiber guided missile family developed by EDePro to hit a wide range of targets at distances between 25 and 60 kilometers. The ALAS missile is carried and launched using a sealed canister with the weapon leaving the container using solid propellant booster. The missile uses the inertial navigation system (INS) and an imaging infrared (IIR) sensor connecting to the operator via an optic-fiber cable. This arrangement allows the operator to select the target thanks to the imagery form the IIR sensor. The ALAS missiles use a solid booster and a turbojet engine for the cruise phase of the flight. All missiles carry a blast fragmentation warhead. These missiles were developed in the 2000s and entered service in the early 2010s.

The ALAS-A variant has a maximum range of 25 kilometers with the missile flying at an altitude of 150-to-500 meters at a cruise speed of 180 meters per second. It is suitable to engage facilities, hardened targets, tanks and armored vehicles. The ALAS-A warhead can penetrate 800mm of reinforced armor.
