The Hatf-4, also referred to as Shaheen-I, was first test launched successfully in early 1997. The missile features increased range compared with M-9 ballistic missile from 600 kilometers to 750-800 kilometers. This ballistic missile system is nuclear capable and may have been deployed by the Armed Forces of Pakistan in the 2000s in small numbers with the last reported test flight in May 2010.
