Description: The Hatf-6 is a road-mobile medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) developed by Pakistan on the basis of China's M-18 MRBM in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The Hatf-6, also referred to as Shaheen-II or Ghaznavi, was first test launched successfully on March 9, 2004. The missile features an increased range of 2,000 kilometers compared to 1,000-1,200 kilometers on the M-18 ballistic missile. It uses a 12-wheel tractor-erector-launcher (TEL) vehicle. This ballistic missile system is nuclear capable and may have been deployed by the Armed Forces of Pakistan in the late 2000s in small numbers.
