Description: The Kh-35UE is a subsonic, sea-skimming anti-ship missile designed to engage amphibious assault ships and cargo vessels navigating individually or as part of a convoy from longer ranges than the basic Kh-35 missile. Like its predecessor, the new missile can be released from both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft. The helicopter version is longer and heavier than the airplane version (4.4 meters versus 3.85 meters and 650 kg versus 550 kg) but can be released at lower altitudes (100-3,500 meters) and airspeeds (0-0.25 Mach). The guidance system has been improved to make the missile system more effective against advanced targets.

The Kh-35UE features an improved propulsion system which doubles the effective range of the cruise missile from 130 km to up to 260 km. It features a high-precision radio-altimeter and an active radar guidance system in the terminal phase of the flight. During the flight the Kh-35UE missile depends on the radio-altimeter and the Inertial Navigation System (INS). It is fitted with a 145 High Explosive (HE) fragmentation, penetration warhead. The guidance system is resistant to electronic warfare jamming.
