Description: The Kh-35 is a subsonic, long range, sea-skimming anti-ship missile. It features a solid fuel booster, a turbojet powerplant, a high-precision radio-altimeter, and an active radar guidance system in the terminal phase of the flight. During the flight the Kh-35 missile depends on the radio-altimeter and the Inertial Navigation System (INS). The Kh-35 is the Soviet counterpart to the US Harpoon missile.

The Kh-35U, AS-20 Kayak NATO-codename, anti-ship missile has been designed to be released from fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft. It is a derivative of ship-launched 3M24 missile (Uran system).
