Description: The Pukguksong is a family of Medium Range Ballistic Missiles (MRBM) developed by North Korea to be launched from sea by submarines and from land platforms. The Pukguksong missiles have an estimated range of 2,000 kilometers and can carry a nuclear warhead alternatively conventional or chemical warhead. The propulsion system utilizes solid propellant. The new missile system represents a huge leap in terms of reliability and accuracy compared with previous ballistic missiles developed by North Korea.

The Pukguksong-3 is an improved submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) first tested by North Korea on October 3, 2019. The improvements of the new missile remain unknown but they could focus in increased range and payload.
