Description: R-21, SS-N-5 Serb Western designation, was a single-stage Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) with an estimated range of 1,400 km. It was equipped with a nuclear warhead and filled with liquid propellant. R-21 was provided to the first Soviet nuclear-powered strategic submarines: Golf II and Hotel II classes.
