Description: The Shahab-5, which means "shooting star" in Farsi, is a medium range ballistic missile (MRBM) being developed by Iran to hit targets at ranges of 3,500 kilometers which includes most parts of Western Europe. At the end of 2009 the Shahab-5 was still in early stages of development. The Shahab-5 may be intended to attack targets located in Europe, Africa, Russia, China and India.
