Description: The Cessna Caravan, 208 model, is a single turboprop aircraft used in operations such as passenger and freight transport, aerial mapping and medical evacuation. The Caravan was introduced in 1985 powered by a single PT6A-114 turboprop rated at 600-hp driving a three-blade propeller. The engine was replaced by the current 675-hp PT6A-114A in 1998. The Cessna 208B features a longer fuselage which is the basis for the Grand Caravan passenger turboprop and Super CargoMaster freight aircraft. So far, Cessna Aircraft Company has produced more than 1,700 Caravan turboprops in all models accumulating more than 10 million flight hours by 2007.

The Cessna Caravan can be configured for up to 12 passengers in the cabin. An aftermarket kit is available to configure the Caravan for amphibious operations with floats, making it a versatile tool in wilderness areas. Provided with the Oasis interior, the Caravan is a business-class aircraft featuring fully articulating and reclining leather seats, color coordinated leathers, fabrics, carpets and cabinetry, along with several entertainment and refreshment choices. The production Caravans available from early 2008 are equipped with Garmin G1000 integrated avionics package with glass cockpit and TKS ice protection. The Caravan 675 has a maximum range of 965 nm carrying a 1,500-lb payload cruising at 186 ktas.
