Description: Embraer Legacy business jet is a derivative of successful ERJ 135 commercial jet designed for the corporate transport aviation segment. It is being offered in two versions: Legacy Executive and Legacy Shuttle. Both super mid-size jet models deliver high comfort and spacious cabin as well as high cruise speed and enough range for intercontinental trips. As of September 2005, Embraer had sold more than 150 Legacy jets to customers in more than 15 countries.

The Legacy 600, formerly Legacy Executive, offers first-class comfort for up to 16 passengers. On the other side, Legacy Shuttle offers business class comfort for up to 19 passengers or 37 in a high density layout known as Shuttle HC. Executive model features a range of 3,250 nautical miles (6,000+ km) while the higher seating capacity Shuttle no goes farther than 1,910 nautical miles (3,600 km). Externally, the Executive has wingtips for improved aerodynamic performance.

The Embraer Legacy Executive aircraft is priced at $22 million while the Shuttle models are priced around $17 million. Both aircraft are powered by two Rolls Royce AE3007 (AE 3007 A1E for Legacy and AE 3007 A1 and AE 3007 A3 for Shuttle) turbofan engines rated from 7,000- to 8,000-pound of thrust. The engines are located at both sides below the aircraft's tail. The Legacy conducted its maiden flight in March 2001 with the first production aircraft delivered to an end customer in April 2002. On 9 November 2005 at the 58th Annual Meeting and Convention of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) in Orlando, United States, Embraer released that the Legacy business jet was adopting a new name: Legacy 600.
