Description: The Z9 series aircraft are manufactured by AVIC Hafei Aviation Industry Co. Ltd. (HAIG) in China on the basis of the Eurocopter SA356N1 patent which is basically the AS365 Dauphin multi-purpose helicopter. The Z-9A civil helicopter was awarded the type certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) on April 12, 2001, with instrument flight rules (IFR) and visual flight rules (VFR) with a minimum one flight crew. These aircraft are suitable for passenger/cargo transportation, offshore oil operations, search and rescue (SAR), law enforcement, firefighting and forest protection. At the end of 2008 HAIG had delivered more than 300 Z-9 helicopter to Chinese and export customers worldwide.
The HAIG H425 helicopter first flew in December 2003 and received the type certification from CAAC in December 2004. As the most advanced type of Z9 series, the H425 aircraft is designed, tested and manufactured in compliance with the requirements of CCAR part 29 to meet the requirements of international civil applications. The aircraft is powered by two Turbomeca Arriel 2C engines and can be fitted with optional equipment following the customer demands. The H425 helicopter features improved avionics, anti-crush fuel system and a comfortable cabin.
