Description: The S-434 is the next-generation light single-turbine helicopter being developed by Sikorsky and Schweizer Aircraft based on the Schweizer 333 helicopter. The new aircraft will incorporate many of the design and performance technologies developed on the RQ-8 Fire Scout VTUAV. It will feature a new four-bladed main rotor system and a larger fuel tank. It will be powered with a more powerful engine which may be the newest Rolls-Royce RR300 turboshaft. All in, the new aircraft will fly faster and farther and having a larger useful load then Schweizer 333 helicopter. The S-434 helicopter was launched at Heli-Expo on February 24, 2008.
