BAE Systems

Description: The Radio Frequency Guided Munitions (RFGM) is a program funded by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop an inexpensive, passive, all-weather radiofrequency seeker intended for use on a wide range of weapons. The seeker works homing in and destroying an enemy's radio communications or jamming devices operating in a range from 30 MHz to 3,000 MHz.

BAE Systems is under a DARPA contract to design and develop the Radio Frequency antenna and receiver hardware, and signal processing software to detect, discriminate, and geolocate an RF emitter. The same company will demonstrate the RF device performance against multiple different emitters at the end of RFGM phase I. Finally, the seeker should be integrated into an 81mm mortar round as the first RFGM application to precisely locate, track and destroy an RF emitter in the battlefield.
