Description: The BR725 is a the latest and most advanced member of Rolls Royce's BR700 family of engines. The BR725 engine was launched in March 2008 as the exclusive power plant for the Gulfstream 650 ultra long range corporate jet. The most efficient and eco-friendly technologies have been provided to the new engine which will combine proven features from the BR700 and Trent engine families with new technologies derived from ongoing Rolls-Royce Vision technology acquisition programs. Designed to provide outstanding reliability, the BR725 engine will be supported by Rolls-Royce CorporateCare services program. In May 2014, the BR725 engine was selected to power the G650ER business jet.

The first Rolls-Royce BR725 engine is expected to be delivered to Gulfstream by the end of 2008, engine certification and start of flight testing are expected in summer 2009 and entry into service in 2012. It will deliver up to 17,000-lb of thrust while being more than 4 dB cumulative quieter than existing BR700 engines. Besides, it will feature a four per cent better specific fuel consumption and shows a 21 per cent improvement in NOx emissions. The BR725 has a 50-inch diameter fan assembly made up of 24 swept titanium blades for improved aerodynamic efficiency and lower noise.
