Description: The DT-59 is a boost gas turbine developed by the former Soviet Union and designed to power frigates and destroyers. The DT-59 gas turbine develops 22,000-shp of power and was selected to power Krivak class frigates and Udaloy class destroyers. More recently the DT-59 gas turbine was selected to power Talwar and Admiral Grigorivich class frigates.
