Description: The Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D is a reliable, cost-effective and quiet turbofan engine intended to power light business jets, light trainers and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The engine features rugged and simplicity in design with only six major rotating components. The JT15D engine develops thrust in the range of 2,200-lb to 3,350-lb. The JT15D-5C engine features improved performance and offers an abradable aluminum Kevlar fan case, an integrally bladed fan rotor (IBR) and single crystal HP turbine blades.

The JT15D-5C turbofan engine has been selected to power Northrop Grumman's X-45A Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) demonstrator and Aermacchi's M-311 light jet trainer.
