Description: Pratt & Whitney's PW2000 family of engines covers the thrust range from 37,000 pounds to 43,000 pounds. It was designed to power the Boeing 757 commercial aircraft. In the 1990s, it was selected to power the C-17 Globemaster III strategic transport aircraft under the military designation F117-PW-100 and the PW2037 (PW2237?) was selected to power Russian Il-96M and Il-96T commercial aircraft.

Currently, there are three PW2000 variants available for both military and commercial applications. PW2037, PW2040 and PW2043 each rated at 37,000 pounds, 40,000 pounds and 43,000 pounds respectively. The PW2043 is the latest member of successful PW2000 family of engines.

The PW2000 engines provide excellent performance and high reliability. The USAF selected the PW2000 engine to power the C-32A cargo/transport aircraft, a militarized version of Boeing 757.
