Description: The PW600 engine family was developed to provide aviation engines with lower ownerships costs and high reliability. It is available in both turbofan and turboprop versions. PW600F turbofan models are rated from 1,000 to 3,000 pounds of thrust. PW600P turboprop yields from 500 to 2,000 shaft horsepower (shp). All PW600 models have Full Authority Digital Electronic Control (FADEC) for simplified pilot operation, ease of maintainability and efficiency.

PW615F engine, a member of PW600 family of engines, was selected to power newest Cessna Citation Mustang business jet beginning in 2006.

The PW617F is derived from the PW625 demonstrator engine program launched in August 2000. PW625 was flight tested beginning in 2002 and led to a new family of engines including PW617F rated at 1,615 pounds of thrust. The PW617F features FADEC (Full Authority Digital Electronic Control) and is expected to be certified in 2007. In May 2005, it was selected by Embraer to power its Very Light Jet project.
