Description: The RD-169 is a rocket engine developed by Russia as part of the RD-120 engine family in the 1990s. Its development was completed in the early 2000s. The engine uses Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Oxygen (LOx) as fuel. The RD-169 has been selected as the second stage motor for the Soyuz-5 medium-weight space launch system.
