Description: The NPO Saturn RD-600 is a turboshaft engine developed to power the Kamov Ka-60/Ka-62 twin-engine, multi-purpose helicopter. The engine provides between 1,000- and 1,550-hp. Both, the RD-600 and the TVD-1500 turboshafts, build upon the same gas generator which ensures high thermo-dynamic cycle parameters and components efficiency. The key elements of the RD-600 engine are its high reliability, modular design, monitoring and diagnosis system, and a full-authority digital electronic dual-channel control system with an auxiliary hydromechanical channel.
