Description: The Trent 700 engines, derived from successful RB211 three-shaft layout, have been designed to power the wide body Airbus A330 airliner. The Trent 700 engines also have the growth capacity to respond to future A330 family needs such as a 75,000 pounds of thrust requirement. These engines have been designed for low noise and low mature fuel burn which represents more range and lower operating costs. Its simplicity design also means lower maintenance costs.

The Rolls-Royce Trent 700 Regional is a new turbofan engine of the Trent 700 family incorporating the latest performance upgrades. The second enhanced performance package, called EP2, will deliver a further one percent improvement in fuel burn which translates into saving over 60,000 US gallons of fuel per aircraft per year. Rolls-Royce announced the new engine designed to power the Airbus A330 Regional on November 26, 2013.
