Description: The WR-21 ICR (Inter Cooled Recuperated) is a high efficiency gas turbine being developed to meet the requirements of future surface ships. It will be available for US and foreign countries.

The WR-21 engines will provide savings of 25-30% annually over current engines, and could provide 40-50% savings in an electric drive configuration. The WR-21 engines has already been chosen by the Royal Navy to power Type 45 destroyers (Daring class) and it remains as a strong candidate for US Navy's DD(X) program.
