Description: The WS-20, also known as WS-188, high-by-pass ratio turbofan engine designed to power the Y-20 heavy-lift transport aircraft and designed to develop up to 13,800 kg of thrust at takeoff. The WS-20 engine is a derivative of the WS-10A fighter jet engine utilizing the same core. The engine was first seen in 2014 and entered service in 2016/2017 powering the Y-20 aircraft.
