Description: The Northrop Grumman AN/ALQ-227 Communication Countermeasures Set/Electronic Attack Unit (CCS/EAU) is an electronic device designed to intercept, process and jam signals, while determining their direction. The AN/ALQ-227 along with the ALQ-218 is part of the Northrop Grumman Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) kit developed for the US Navy's EA-18G Growler electronic attack aircraft. Both systems are located on wing tip pods and gun bay pallets in addition to antennas and receives throughout the EA-18G airframe.
