Description: The BriteCloud is an advanced decoy system intended to counter 21st century missile threats incorporating groundbreaking miniaturization and advanced jamming technology. BriteCloud includes a battery-powered Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) jammer inside the 55mm flare cartridge. This Expendable Active Decoy (EAD) was developed by Finmeccanica along with Saab in conjunction with the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (SDTL) and the United Kingdom (UK) Ministry of Defense (MoD). The Gripen and the Tornado Gr4 aircraft are primary users of the BriteCloud anti-missile system.
