Description: RCIED is a set of electronic countermeasure systems designed to counter Remote Controlled Improvise Explosive Devices (RCIEDs). This protection system is being developed by General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products under a $289 million contract issued by the US Marine Corps in early February 2006. The contracted activities include development, design, integration, production and installation of the RCIED high power jamming systems through July 2006. RCIED program was deemed as an initiative associated with the Global War on Terrorism.
