Description: The BAE Systems' Tactical Signals Intelligence Payload (TSP) is a new sensor intended to gather intelligence by intercepting signals (SIGINT) providing a 360-degree aerial field of view comprehensive picture in real-time. Basically, the TSP sensor allows to detect, identify, and geo-locate electronic emitters on behalf of a ground team that can address any number of targets. It is suitable for a wide range of airborne platforms ranging from unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) to manned and larger fixed-wing surveillance aircraft. The TSP sensor features software-defined, open architecture allowing for a network of such sensors to conduct interoperable operations talking to each other. The US Army and Special Operations Command (SOCOM) awarded BAE Systems a $70 million contract for the delivery of 12 TSP sensors for integration onto the MQ-1C Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft system (UAS).
