Description:
The 9M55 is a family of 300mm rockets designed to perform a wide range of missions carrying different payloads. The 9M55 rockets are employed by the Soviet/Russian Smerch long-range multiple launch rocket artillery system. Each rocket projectile weighs approximately 800 kg and is 7.6 meters in length.
The 9M55K1 rocket has been designed to engage moving and stationary armored vehicles employing 5 anti-tank submunitions. These submunitions weigh 15 kg each, feature a two-band infrared seeker and use top-attack profile to destroy any known armored vehicle.
