Description: The 9M55 is a family of 300mm rockets designed to perform a wide range of missions carrying different payloads. The 9M55 rockets are employed by the Soviet/Russian Smerch long-range multiple launch rocket artillery system. Each rocket projectile weighs approximately 800 kg and is 7.6 meters in length.

The 9M55K5 rocket has been designed to effectively engage personnel, materiel and light armored vehicles from ranges of up to 70 kilometers. The 9M55K5 carries 646 shaped-charge fragmentation submunitions weighing 0.24 kg each and with a piercing in armor ability of 120mm.
