Description: South Korea's K200 is an amphibious armored personnel carrier developed by Daewoo Heavy Industries & Machinery, now Doosan Infracore, based on US AIFV. Doosan Infracore developed a complete family of armored vehicles based on the K200/Korean Infantry Fighting Vehicle tracked chassis. These vehicles are powered by a diesel engine rated at 350-hp and weigh roughly 13 tons. The Korean Army took delivery of first K200 vehicle in 1984. Several thousands vehicles have been produced for South Korea so far. Malaysia remains as the sole export customer.

K242A1/K281A1 are 106mm(4.2-inch)/81mm mortar carrier vehicles derived from K200A1 chassis. The crew for K242A1 consists of seven men with only five on the K281A1 mortar carrier. These mortar carriers are fitted with .50 (12.7mm) caliber machine gun as secondary armament. K242A1/K281A1 ammunition capacity is for 70 and 99 rounds respectively.
