Description: The LWSPH (Light Weight Self-Propelled Howitzer) is an air-transportable by both aircraft and helicopter, 155mm 39-caliber, self-propelled howitzer. It is mounted on a 4x4 chassis that lacks of external armor to protect the crew helping to keep the overall LWSPH weight around 7 tons.
The LWSPH maximum range with unassisted projectiles is 19km, while that figure increases dramatically to 30 kilometers with rocket assisted projectiles.
The LWSPH was certified for air-transportation by C-130 aircraft, CH-53 and CH-47 helicopters.
