Description: The PLZ-05 is an improved version of the PLZ-45 self-propelled howitzer developed by NORINCO. PLZ-05 retains the fully tracked chassis and the 155mm 45-caliber main but introducing a larger re-designed turret. Moreover, it features a fully automatic main gun loading system inspired on Russian MSTA-S self-propelled howitzer replacing PLZ-45's semi-automatic loading system. The PLZ-05 may have entered service with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in 2005.
