Description: The AN/AQS-24 is a boat-mounted mine detection system designed to operate remotely. It will enable current ships to navigate safely through channels as well as harbor mine mapping within homeland and force deployment missions. The system can be deployed by rotary wing aircraft such as the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) MCH-101 aircraft.
