Description: The Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced (ARL-E) is an airborne long-range radar being developed by Northrop Grumman for the US Army following a contract award in September 2015. The new radar system features Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) capabilities based upon Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) technology. The GMTI capability includes dismounted troops. The ALR-E all weather radar is scheduled for integration onto the Bombardier Q400/DHC-8 aircraft by 2020.
