Description: The Chance is a sixth generation radio communication system developed by the Rostec Corporation for the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) as part of an automated communication and control (C2) system. The Chance communications system was built using software-defined radio technology with the ability to create a self-organizing, auto-restorable network with almost no involvement of an operator. The system is aimed at delivering all types of messages, digital data and video stream with automatic noise interference elimination. The system is based upon portable stations that can installed on military vehicles relying information from one to another operator. If a station is destroyed the nearest stations will pick up its data automatically to become available within its network. The Chance radio system was unveiled previously to the Russian MoD innovation day on August 1, 2014. The Russian troops are expected to test the Chance in the field in the near future with the aim for deployment in 2016-2018.
