Description: The EHF SSPA (Extra-High-Frequency, Solid-State Power Amplifier) is an advanced and compact power amplifier providing on-the-move battlefield communications well suited for network-centric operations. EHF SSPA delivers high data rate, wideband satellite communications (SATCOM) operating at extremely high frequencies. It is capable of attaining high power output in a small form factor and is scalable to higher power levels. Northrop-Grumman delivered the first system to the US Army to demonstrate SATCOM on-the-move in July 2006. EHF SSPA may be mounted on US Army's HMMWVs (Humvees) or Future Combat Systems (FCS) vehicles.
