Description: The Elta Systems Limited, a Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) subsidiary, ELM-2311 tactical C-RAM radar has been designed to detect and track a wide range of projectiles including artillery shells. The radar system is also capable of determining the launch and impact point coordinates with high accuracy. The ELM-2311 is a compact, mobile, multi-function Artillery Weapon radar, as well as a hostile Weapon Launch Locator C-Band Radar system intended to operate at the battalion level. The radar is based upon an advanced 3D Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA). The persistent surveillance sector mode delivers 120-degree or 260-degree coverage. A single vehicle equipped with this C-RAM radar only requires a crew of two men. The ELM-2311 tactical C-RAM radar was demonstrated during a live fire test demonstration in early 2014.
