Description: The FARA-PV is a modernized, portable, short-range battlefield surveillance radar operating in the Ku-band with a panoramic display system. It is designed to perform day/night and all-weather location of moving and stationary targets such as personnel and vehicles at ranges of 3 kilometers and 6 kilometers respectively. They feature automatic transmission of data to the user and can be used to adjust artillery fire. Russian firm Almaz-Antey announced the existence and development work of this advanced battlefield surveillance radar in February 2013.
