Description: The Falaq is a long-range air surveillance radar system developed by the Islamic Republic of Iran to support medium and long-range air defense systems such as the Khordad 3 and S-300. The Falaq utilizes a phased array radar antenna capable of detecting a variety of targets such as cruise missiles, stealth aircraft, drones, ballistic missiles and fighter jets from distances of up to 400 kilometers. The existence of the new radar system was revealed in August 2019 and it is said that the radar supported the shoot down of a US Navy Triton drone in June 2019.
