Description: The Thales Ground Fire is a family of fully digital, multifunctional ground radars designed to conduct air defense and air surveillance missions simultaneously. It was developed on the basis of the Sea Fire radar system also developed by Thales. The Ground Fire radars are based upon Active Electronically Scanning Array (AESA) technology being compact enough to fit into a medium size truck system which makes them air transportable and adaptable to a wide variety of terrain. Thales Ground Fire is compatible with missiles of the Aster family operating in intense clutter and jamming. The radar system is also able to provide early warning against incoming ballistic missiles. The Ground Fire radar family was first showcased during the Paris Air Show in June 2017.
