Description: The Pozitiv-MEK is a fixed face, modular, multi-functional radar system designed to provide air and surface surveillance capabilities in both blue water and littoral/coastal environments. The Pozitiv-MEK radar has been designed to operate in active and passive radar modes as well as operate in conjunction with Electro-Optical (EO) systems. The radar is capable of detection, tracking and classification of both air and surface while being able to provide target data for the ship's weapon systems. Operating in active radar mode can detect airborne targets at ranges of up to 150 kilometers while tracking up to 50 airborne and surface targets. In passive radar mode can detect targets at ranges of 450 kilometers. In Data Exchange and Oriental Radar (DEORrd) mode can direct up to nine weapons/missiles against targets at a distance of up to 60 kilometers. The EO system associated with the Pozitiv-MEK has a maximum range of 16 kilometers while tracking up to 50 targets. The radar system is capable of monitoring up to 200 air and surface targets. The Pozitiv-MEK advanced radar system has been selected for the Project 22800 class of small corvettes.
