Description: The Sepehr, 'Sky' in English, is a long-range surveillance radar developed and produced by the Islamic Republic of Iran under its domestic arms program which started in 1992. The radar features a maximum coverage of 2,500 kilometers (1,550 miles) with the ability to detect a wide variety of airborne objects including both stealth and micro-UAV targets flying at low, medium and high altitudes. Besides, the Sepehr radar can detect ballistic, semi-ballistic and cruise missiles. The new radar systems and the information gathered by them will be integrated into Iran's radar and air defense network. The Sepehr radar system was unveiled on November 12, 2014.
