Description: The Cassidian Tactical Radar for Surface Surveillance (TRSS) is an X-band ship-based radar system intended to support countermeasures against terrorist attacks while providing sea and land surveillance. This radar system is compact and lightweight and is intended for warships and coast guard boats as well as merchant vessels. Besides, the TRSS power consumption is very low and has been optimized for the littoral environment. The sensor has been designed for the detection of extremely small objects such as swimmers utilizing Active Electronically Scanning Array (AESA) technology. The TRSS radar existence with its awesome detection capabilities was unveiled by Cassidian at DSEi in London September 2013.
