Description: The Goalkeeper is a 30mm close-in weapon system designed to provide protection for ships against close-in aircraft and high-speed missiles. It features a General Dynamics turret mount and seven 30mm barrels Gatling gun with a rate of fire of 4,200 rounds per minute. A Thales Netherlands' dual frequency X- and Ka-band radar provides tracking and fire control for the Goalkeeper weapon system in clutter and ECM environments in order to eliminate the threat.

The Goalkeeper weapon system was introduced in the early 1980s and has been ordered by the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and South Korea for some of their surface combatant ships.
