Description: The SEA RAM weapon system is an evolved Mk-15 Block 1B Close-In Weapons System comprising key attributes of both the Mk-15 and the Mk-31 RAM weapon systems. SEA RAM is designed to effectively engage future high-performance supersonic threats in the littoral environments.

In the SEA RAM an 11-cell launcher assembly replaces Phalanx's 20mm gun. It combines RAM missile superior maneuverability, accuracy and extended range with the Phalanx Block 1B's search and track radar and IR sensor systems and quick response capability. The SEA RAM will also utilize the same control panel and consoles that are being deployed as part of the Phalanx Block 1B.

Raytheon and RAM System Gmbh are marketing the SEA RAM integrated ship self-defense system as an upgrade kit to existing Phalanx systems.
